Was speaking to Paul Skyes at the weekend, he is player assistant manager, as is Mark 'Willy' Wilson.

It's 2002 all over again...

What about any pre season friendlies. Plenty up for other teams on the sticky league website.

You're hosting a game against ourselves on Saturday 14th August (3pm kick off).

According to the Wakey Express site, we've signed Neil Bennett back from Guiseley, ex Halifax defender Mark Hotte, Matty Young (ex Huddersfield?) and two others whose names i've managed to forget in the 5 minutes between looking at that website and logging on here  Old Age

Kelvin Bluer and Craig Harding are the other two. Never heard of them, though i seem to recall there being a family of Harding's who played for various sides like Garforth, Selby etc, they were heavily involved in sunday football around east Leeds, teams like Fforde Greene etc. Craig might be connected with them, or may be not.

Harding played for Garforth last season, according to my mate, who's a big fan of theirs. Also said your correct about the East Leeds connection, Chapeltown Brazil to be exact.

Although I haven't been to a match yet, pre-season sounds quite encouraging so far. Two wins against Tadcaster (2-0) and Kirkburton (4-3) and a narrow loss midweek (1-2) to a very strong Farsley AFC. Maybe there is hope for this coming season, although we are everyone elses favourites for the drop.
