Not a very good performance last night.
We seemed lacklustre and dis-interested.
Even when we were 3-2 up and defending a corner in the final few minutes there seemed no sense of urgency.

Maybe we were complacent and underestimated Eccleshill?

Eccleshill did what we do to most sides in our division; they worked had, ran all night and it seemed that they wanted to win more than us!
It could have been that way as well and i'd have had no complaints!

Have to say, though, our second goal was one of the best goals I've seen at College Grove; from the goalie, passed along the back 4, into Wayne Shooter, through ball to Del and square for Chris Howarth to tap in!

Plus point........we didn't play very well but we're through!

1. Crossland 2. Nicholson 3. Morris 4. MacManus 5. Milnes 6. Roberts 7. Shooter 8. Wilson 9. Henson 10. Howarth 11. Ferguson

Subs Pleasants, Glavin and Danville all used, Danny south unused which I was surprised at after his performance on saturday!

I think we should at least look at the positive side of what happened last night. I enjoyed the second half and considering our recent run of results and luck, we can be happy we won and that we should build from this performance. We seemed to play better when the players actually control the ball and think about the next pass rather than hitting it long constantly, which led to 2 good goals (Wakefield)
