Bedlington Terriers are pleased to announce the addition of midfielder Andy Ferrell from Barrow for the 2012/13 Northern League Season.

Ferrell joins a host of other signings this offseason as the Terriers look to push on from their 7th place finish last season.

Ferrell, 28, spent his youth playing in the Newcastle United Academy before moving on to play for a host of big league teams including Watford and Hereford United. The midfielder will bring a steely determination to the Terriers midfield.

In his career so far he has amassed 236 appearances at all levels, scoring 13 goals. Bedlington are ecstatic to sign a player of his calibre and experience as the Terriers look to have a successful league and cup campaign.

Chairman Ronan Liddane commented on the fruitful summer of signings:

“We are happy to announce the signing of Andy Farrell to add to the great additions we have already made this summer.”

“We are eager to succeed in multiple competitions this season and it’s signings like this that make me excited to be a Bedlington fan.”

They seemed to keep a decent squad together last season after Christmas, its peoples perception that this happened. :?

Yes they probably by their own admission they would say they underachieved but didnt end up with what I would call a poor squad to compete.
