Bedlington Terriers Football Club is proud to announce the signing of former Gateshead midfielder Scott Blandford, and the re-signing of left winger Stephen Baptist for the 2012/13 season.
Blandford, 27, joins the Terriers from North Shields. In 17 appearances last season, Blanford scored 5 goals from Midfield. Blandford has also spent time at Ashington, Gateshead and Consett. The battling midfielder will bring a no nonsense approach to the centre of the Terriers park this season.
Bedlington also welcome back left winger Stephen Baptist, who spent most of last season with the Terriers, after signing with the club in November 2011. Baptist had a difficult time at the club last season, suffering a horrible hand injury that kept him out for some time.
Speaking last night Manager Keith Perry said, "Both Neil Saxton and myself are delighted with both the capture of Scott's signature and Steven committing for next season. We are busy at the moment talking to players and are pleased that most of last seasons squad have committed to the Terriers. We are talking to a couple of other targets and expect more major announcements to be imminent".
