Off work tomorrow so best to do this now whilst I remember :D

Going to be a toughy this and Aycliffe have started well. This is their inaugural game in the FA Cup and they are going to be well up for it after having the Trophy at their place during the week.

However, we should have nothing to fear after our great start to the season and although Robbie Bettson will be out, I think we can weather Aycliffe's storm and bring them back to our place for a replay on Wednesday night. Will be a few goals in this one so I am going for a 2v2 draw

I also think it will be a tough game tomorrow .. 2 teams who've made a good start to the season. Maybe be the odd goal in it so going to say a 2-1 Synners win.

All the best lads :)

Result: Aycliffe 2-7 Synners

A rampant Billingham side opened the scoring early on through David Hillerby, meeting a Curtis Collantine cross (4 mins). The lead was extended through Danny Earl with Collantine the provider again (34 mins). A third was added before the break when Glenn Donaldson set up James Magowan to net (45 mins). Billingham weathered some 2nd half pressure from the hosts before adding a fourth after some good work from Dan McWilliams and Hillerby set up Earl for his second of the match (65 mins). Earl duly bagged his hat-trick and Synners' fifth when through on goal with the keeper off his line he coolly lifted the ball into the net (72 mins). Aycliffe pulled a goal back through Fred Woodhouse (81 mins), but Synthonia added two further goals through Michael Cater (84 mins) and Kieran Edwards (85 mins). The hosts pulled another back when Josh Gray saw his corner kick go just over the goal-line (88 mins).

Yep, well done Synners. You seemed bigger, stronger and had more craft than us yesterday. Bit of a reality check for us I suppose or hopefully just an off day.

Bad day at the office all round.
