Fantastic signing one of the best young players around for me if not the best! is this definitely confirmed? If so well done to management for getting him to sign as previous comment said I'm sure there will of been a lot of interest from a lot of teams. Looking forward to seeing him in a synners shirt. Come on you synners

Quality player. Maybe lacks a bit of pace but technically very good and reads the game superbly

Was Chris Porter at your place the season before last? And was he any good?

Rumour going round that he's signed/signing for Darlo, heard he didn't play tonight either.

Rumour is correct. Apparently seven days notice has gone in for Gotty from Darlo, but it's already supposedly a done deal which pretty much makes a mockery of the seven day ruling.

Maybe we put notice in 7 days ago and you just found out?

Or, you may have waived the 7 days notice for one reason or another.

Maybe, but i've heard not.

Not to worry, 7 days or not, if the lad wants to move there is nothing we can do except give him our best wishes.

I heard he turned us down in the summer to sign for you, I wonder what has changed?

I was party to that conversation with Paolo and it is supposedly already a done deal but if Gotty wants to try his luck at Darlington then so be it and all we can do is wish him all the best.

Wasn't the only conversation I had last night regarding the signing of players in the Northern League as the one I had with the Shildon scout was very interesting indeed. Have to agree with Paolo 100% that the seven days ruling is a complete and utter joke and although I have no problems with players moving and clubs approaching players, it is so very, very, very easy to exploit and make a mockery of.

Shildon scout eh? Nowt to do with Darlo I hope? If it was - it'll be made up.

Yum, yum and that is a beautiful fat piece of bait on the end of that fishing rod but I have a hell of a lot of time for Shildon and enjoyed a cracking hour+ of conversation with the lad face to face, so I'll pass and not bite on it
