Well last night we were knocked out of the Ernest Armstrong Memorial Cup after going down 1-0 away at Birtley Town. The winning goal came with about 3 mins to go from a corner that was won from a throw in where the assistant let a birtley player take the throw 20 yards from where it went out.
We were guilty of missed chances again tonight as we had numerious chance to score, only to be pegged back by some great goal keeping and some poor finishing.
Credit must go to Birtley as they made it a very tough game for ourselves and we wish them the very best in the next round. Fingers crossed when we visit Birtley again in a few weeks for the league tie the result will be better for ourselves.
