Another bad defeat to our nearest rivals from up the road. Ive got to admit though Tow Law thoroughly deserved their victory with a great display at the Millfield.
We had a great start in the first couple of minutes when a cross into their box seemed to be punched over the line by their keeper, i was at the other end of the ground so i could be wrong.
We had a few chances to get that second goal but it wasnt to be. Their keeper tipped a great effort from Wazza over the bar. We were by far the better team in the first half hour of the game but Tow Law always looked dangerous on the break.
Tow Law were coming more and more into the game, they had a few half chances before they scored with a cracking goal that flew into our net from 20 yards or so.
1-1 was probably a fair reflection of the first half. The second half started with the visitors playing the better stuff and was only time before they scored. Their pace up front was too much for our defence and they could of scored a lot more than the 3 they got.
Our keeper pulled a couple of great one on one stops off to keep us in the game but we were second best in this game.
We did huff and puff a bit but we didnt really threaten their keeper. In my eyes their big centre half Tobin was my man of the match, he was outstanding. Ive yet to see a better centre half in the second division. An excellent display from Tow Law who on this performance wont be far away come the end of April.
Next game RCA at home in the cup on Tuesday night.
