If we have any chance of promotion we have to sort that defence out. Its leaking goals and at times we are wide open. We will always score goals with the likes of Wazza, big Kev and Louther up front but at the back we have problems.
I felt sorry for Lids on saturday because of the own goal, thats probably the only mistake hes made for us since he came to Crook Town. I thought he still had a good game and also scored.
Yes its early days and theres plenty of time left in the season but we getting exposed by every team we play.
Ive seen some bad officials over the years but these lot on saturday were up there with the worst ive ever seen. Dont get me wrong RA scored 3 goals to our 2, so deserved the 3 points but that referee was shocking. Nothing wrong with their penalty it hit our defenders hand, sometimes you get away with it but we didnt, in the laws its a penalty.
But why we didnt get the penalty in the second half for a blatant handball is beyond me, everyone in the ground saw it. Also their lad clattering Lids on the halfway line, nothing not even a warning.
The RA fans i was standing with said hes lost the plot altogether, i think they were right. If there was an assessor in the ground which i was told there was he will be lucky to referee again in this league.
