We headed down to North Yorkshire knowng we had half a dozen players missing inc Wazza, Louther and Hodgey who are very big players in our team. Also its a bit of a bogey ground for us, we tend to get our ars es smacked quite regular down there.
So going a goal down in the first minute i was thinking here we go again. But the lads did very well, big Kev up front was leading the line well and slotted a good equaliser in on a one on one with their keeper. Two minutes later we took the lead with another good finish from Paul. Northallerton were always dangerous with their pace, Two more daft mistakes gave them a couple of easy goals to make it 3-2.
On this display Northallertons defence is a bit dodgy in my eyes, we broke through a few times and were given offside on numerous occasions. We got our equaliser just before half time with an inswinging corner that the big lad Liddle nodded in.
3-3 at half time, with loads of mistakes from both sides. Wazza and Louther would of had a field day yesterday if they had played.
No more goals second half but there was loads of chances, more for Northallerton especially when Minter got sent off after about an hour, so it was backs to the wall for long parts of the second half. Some good stops from Poskett and great defending from Lids and the lads at the back to keep the score level.
Saying that we still had quite a few great chances to win it but it would of been hard on Northallerton if we had took all 3 points.
A good day was had by all that travelled, well done lads, roll on Brandon.
