South Shields welcome the current champions and champions elect Spennymoor Town to Filtrona Park this evening, kick-off 7.30pm for what will be without doubt a most entertaining encounter, and certainly a most attractive fixture and for the Mariner's fans and supporters it will be a fine advert for all that is best about the STL Northern League. Given that European football is once again a TV alternative, it is hoped nevertheless that football followers of the non league scene and some of those of our Football League neighbours do come and show their support and enjoy what promises to be a fine game.

Is that the bookies that stinks of p1ss or it did a few months back, I remember as I seen Stud talking to some guy who must have had a bad loss as he was almost crying! Think that guy could have also been responsible for the smell?
