Is there any news on what day the supporters are having the market stall selling club merchandice . Think thats a good idea to promote the club and raise a few bob in the run up to christmas.

I understand this could still happen pre christmas weather dependent and also sorting the appropriate insurance.

As has been correctly stated, it all now depends on the weather, for the pre Christmas South Shields market stall with a large and comprehensive selection of South Shields FC merchandise as everything required has been delivered and is now ready and arrangements have all been prepared and made. We can but hope that the weather is good enough to proceed and a definite decision will be made this midweek.

A full photoshoot session with a few photogenic volunteer models (!) was completed this morning at Filtrona Park and large coloured advertisement posters with full details of all the comprehensive selection of items of club merchandise now on offer for Christmas purchase will be displayed at selected outlets around South Shields later this week. In the meantime, any reader who has South Shields affiliations for local purchase or for ex pats abroad etc, may like to peruse the club forum located on the South Shields sanddancers site for all further information etc etc, for sources of purchase and information.

A decision will be taken tomorrow, with an eye on the weather and the forecast for Friday, as to whether the market stall will be held, in order to avoid any inconvenience to stall staff and also for transport arrangements for the merchandise early on the day. We are at least hopeful .....

In view of forecast adverse weather, the South Shields Market Place stall has been reluctantly cancelled, a disappointment but in the circumstances unavoidable, rather cancelled now than an enforced cancellation later. South Shields FC merchandise items for Christmas presents etc, are available from Bob Scott on 07920 554377 in the South Tyneside area, details on request or view the club site. The club shop is only open on home match days, and postal deliveries will not now be guarenteed in view of time considerations for Christmas, so if anyone living locally requires anything, a phone call is unfortunately the best that can now be done in the circumstances.
