I was just wondering what you expect of the club, what is acceptable to you?

Is it everyone trying their best and what happens, happens?

Or should it be progress every year and if it is are the team/management allowed a blip?

Or should a team from a town the size of South Shields be winning league and/or the Vase?

Like all clubs everything as ever comes down to money to assist growth and development on and off the park, and you can not spend what you have not got, and in these economically constrained times and especially moreso in employment blackspots as South Shields where the former 'big players' of industry in the local economy as shipping and coal mining are largely now memories, merely makes for bigger problems to keep a club afloat and trying to move forward. Suffice to say that clubs like South Shields have to cut their cloth according to resources available, and keep trying to attract sponsors to improve their financial viability and to translate that into a better team with which to attract growth in the supporter base. With the benefit of a generous main sponsor able and willing to assist and / or underwrite the basic costs of running a club with ambitions to do well in the Northern League and the FA Vase, such every day problems that are common to a club as South Shields - currently without such a sponsor, would not then be hindered or disadvantaged in the efforts and conditions that the club committee and team management currently operate under. So if there is such an interested would-be sponsor 'out there' reading this post, South Shields FC would dearly love to hear from them to help translate their ambitions into reality ......
