South Shields FC have agreed to meet fans in an open forum to answer ANY questions, issues, queries or concerns held by the supporters. Representatives of the team management and coaching staff, and club committee members will be present.

This will be held on Thursday 4th November at 7pm, upstairs in the Lord Ashley pub on Stanhope Road.

The club will not be vetting questions in advance so will face whatever YOU have to ask them. They have eagerly agreed to this, so if there is anything you feel you need answering or explaining then use this opportunity to make your point, get your explanation.

feel they gave their answer on the pitch today by the sound of it.
I cannot undertsand the anti steadman comments he got sheilds promoted & when they beat us in the cup their attitude and motivation were outstanding.
If he feels he needs to make changes surely he deserves a bit of time.

Indeed, and with big changes it will take time for things to start coming together.

He has also shown this week that when things are not working he is not afraid to make the necessary squad changes. Following yesterdays performance, this appears to have not had an adverse effect on the squad.

Should be an interesting night, and I would hope that the people who do have questions make their voice heard. An ideal opportunity.

any ideas as to what the reason for this "talk in" is???? the club or whoever will no doubt "field" the questions and answers what are the objectives of the night??? to tell people what they already know and that there will be NO changes??? its an opportunity for what????? the club have their own ideas they will certainly not listen and ACT when some say its time for a change. All they want to hear is how well they have done and how the current plan will continue. the club are followed by a tiny number of people, the club know they will never be put under any pressure from anyone and so will continue in the same vane 8 wins 7 draws and 15 defeats in 2010 is not progress, in their eyes it is. people will attend and leave then say "well thats kept us happy for a while" (fobbed off actually) (the manager will remain in post of course). thre club will say "phew we got away with that one our mate is still here dont worry they will still pay their fiver next week".......................so what is the point............. other then self satisfying the committee and protecting themselves and the manager........absolutely no point

looks to me like south shields fc are sick to death of hearing or reading your comments and have giving you the perfect opportunity to go and get them off your chest.

The idea is that people and that includes you exshieldsman can ask whatever questions you like to the management or
officials of SSFC.
Would you of been happier if they were asked to hold this talk in and refused, i think not, you would of attacked them for been cowards not to face the supporters and take their questions.
Your post is the first of your excuses not to attend as it you who does not have the guts to be there and stand up and voice your concerns and opinions. Your failure to attend the last talk in was put down to you having a previous engagement, we all know you will not attend for the reasons already stated. You obviously think the supporters who will attend will not ask the hard questions and let the management off the hook so thats the ideal reason for you to be there and do that yourself. You have spent a couple of years behind your computer slagging off everyone connected with SSFC, management, committee, and supporters so now is your chance to be a man and attend this event and say what you have to say face to face. But you won't.

If I was in your position and somehow I was able to see your side of things then I would be made up to be given the opportunity to put my questions to the club. If, as you PRESUME, you were to be censored when you got there then that would only add weight to what you have been saying all along, make the management of the blus look like a bunch of idiots and give you more credibility with people on this site.
