see some players have been shown the door and others asked to leave............the club are totally missing the point......... the players concerned are obviously not happy the main link in this is the manager(s) and their poor performance in coordinating a playing staff that is consistent and is well motivated. it seems this manager has carte blanche to do what he wants without hving his ability questioned

Serious question mr shieldsman who would you like to see replace steadman?

Just an opinion!

I feel there would be a lot of managers looking at the job if it was vacant because the potential in south shields to develop with such a large population is very interesting. Gates would be much bigger with a team that would only have to show some improvement to catch the eye the club are really just limping along and whilst the hard work done by some people is applauded it is not matched by efforts to improve where it matters. There are one or two aroud with experience such as Wilf Constantine who did well with Nissan, Harry Dunn at Whitby maybe??? but until you ask you will never know. The people that make these decisions, and there are less than a handful, should not shirk the importance of making such a decision, howver their lack of experience shows up. maybe they cant work with anyone else but the current manager because of personal ties and the fear of change. the fans need something to look forward to and a fresh pair of eyes and new broom and all that can sometimes make a difference. one thing is sure some of the current players arent playing tfor the manager

5-2 against Roofing, while score not important as the point is every player put a shift in and battled for everything and when the battle was won played some half decent stuff. Now does that sound like a team not playing for the manger?
