Does anyone know if we have signed any players yet, or if any players from last season are returning?

Well there won't be many left soon, with
Harrison, Hancock and Mwasile to Altrincham.
Toure to Salford and now White to Southport.
It looks like a season of transition.

Thanks for the update BlueGreen.
It does look like it's going to be a very different line-up.
I thought Curtis Jones was excellent last season so I do hope he stays, and I'm a big fan of Sam Hall too - I think he makes the team more solid and wins a lot of tackles and headers. If Cooke and Bell stick around as well then at least there's something to build on.

According to the Crewe Chronicle, Matt Bell, Sam Hall and Joel Stair will be staying as well as Sean Cooke (helps
that his dad is the manager). The manager also claims to be ahead of where he expected to be on player recruitment
but can't be sure until 1st July. Hoping also that Curtis Jones stays, but losing White, Harrison and Hancock are the most
troubling. Tom Peers has also gone (to Altrincham I think).

Bad news I'm afraid, Curtis Jones signed for Southport a few weeks ago

From what I can gather:

Staying, Bell, Hall, Cooke, Stair and Ryan Brooke
Signed: Harry Clayton

Going:
Ben Harrison, Josh Hancock Tom Peers and Joe Mwasile to Altrincham.
Ibou Touray to Salford
Curtis Jones and Andy White to Southport.

So most of the players are Conference North bound (Altrincham will surely get
promoted), but sadly not the club it seems. I thought that another season with
this squad and manager of course, could have seen great things. There is the
added complication of there being a number of Cheshire based clubs in this division
plying for players.

Plenty of irons in the fire ,speaking to Dave Cooke last week, he obviously has a lot of contacts locally and at a reasonable standard having been involved with Shrewsbury and with Steve Jones contacts at Crewe and players at other clubs we'll be fine.
Unfortunately all these 'signings' don't mean anything as they cant be registered with the league until 1st July, and then other clubs can still put 7 days notice in on a player unless they are under contract. I understand 2 young lads who were at Wigan are on their way, both full backs.
Several other players have been rumoured to be on their way and no doubt their will be an abundance of players at the first training session next Thursday.

We'll be fine

Wish I had as much faith in the re-building as Yabber. Harry Clayton (who I think always gives 100%) and JJ Bailey have already had several attempts to cut the mustard at this level and it didn't work out for them. And yet another goalkeeper to try and keep happy when not playing. Parky replaced a good team with a really good team but I can't see it happening this time round. The real heart of our side has gone and it'll take exceptional players to replace them. Hope I'm wrong but we could struggle.
