Well done on your two wins yesterday lads, heck of a goal to win the main game!

Hope your keeper's ok after the late challenge second half, impressed that you guys accepted our lad's genuine apology and didn't make a big thing of it. With any luck, I'll get a bus-full over to yours for the return fixture in the new year.

Thanks for your kind hospitality yesterday Goose, the lads all enjoyed their day out, pass on our thanks to all at Whitby

A good game between the fans, a few good strong challenges but played in the right spirit, a few good goals scored by both teams - you did a great job as reffing it by the way.

Ned (the keeper) was fine, in fact the challenge never got another mention, some pie & Chips soon put him right.

For anyone who doesn't know the fans match ended up 5-2 in favour of The Dabbers, Paul Garnett with a first half hat trick and Wayne Garnett bagging two, including a 25 yarder into the top corner after a mazy run. Special mentions to Adam Vernon who was a rock in defence, and Ash 'The Hatchet@ Haughton who bossed the midfield.

The lads in the fans team put 100% effort in, as could be seen by the limping that was done every time we had a pit stop on the way home - and the journey home is worth a thread all on it's own.

The main game saw an amazing goal scored by Sean Cooke, chested down a long ball, and hit it on the half volley from 25/30 yards out into the top corner.

I won't mention the Whitby goal/penalty as it was truly an atrocious decision and the only person who thought it was a penalty was the ref.

Yeah it was very soft, showed when our players didn't even ask. He was almost as bad an official as that joker from the morning game.
