We have the makings of a squad that should be challanging for the play offs in my opinion.

Mark Beesley will score the goals for us and each time we played the Vics, Lewis was their best player, although he was wasted at full back.

We have te best keeper in the league with Jonny Brain.
The defence is looking solid with Rod McDonald, Matt Bailey, Darren Moss & Matt Lowe all signing on for another tour of duty.
Chris Flynn, Tom Urwin & Josh Lane have also signed up.

I am getting excited about our prospects for next season.

Roll on 18th August

All we need is Andy White on loan again, and I would love us to try and sign Stef Edwards from Bala Town, a player I've earmarked to the club on a couple of occasions very good left sided player, exactly what is required.

Class act although I disagree that he was "wasted at fullback". Him and Disney's overlapping early in the season was one of the main reasons we were up there at Christmas. He had problems with shin splints later in the season and Fitz had started playing well in his spot meaning he came back in as a winger, so he has and can play both, but he's much more effective played as an overlapping full back IMO.

Agree with Yabber that the squad is taking good shape now. It's good to see a number of players returning - I don't think wholesale changes, year on year, works at this level. I liked Short when he was with us before - wholehearted, quick and skilful, keeping the opponent's right back honest. Is there any news on Sean Cooke? Is he likely to be with us next season?
An experienced hand in central midfield is the key now, someone to help Flynn win a lot of tackles and keep it simple, get the ball out wide to Short and, hopefully, Cooke.

More signings to come.... A prolific striker close to signing, Frazier Mclachlan re-signing, Cooke to sign up again, if he can stay in this country long enough to put pen to paper lol
