According to the Hednesford website Lenny & Macca have both signed for Hednesford this

Good luck to both of them, they've both been terrace favourites in their time with us and have left some big boots to be filled up front and in the centre of midfield.

Thanks for the memories Lenny & Macca up there with the best to wear the green of Nantwich.

I'll be honest, this is a shock. I'm not close to anyone at the club so I don't know any inside information, but I'm very surprised that a player of Lenny's quality was available. Has Quinn got someone else lined up? I never got the feeling that Quinn had a great deal of faith in Lenny, leaving him on the bench at Worksop, etc.
And Macca was excellent last season. Someone of his experience will take some replacing so I hope Quinn knows what he's doing. He doesn't seem too keen on fans' favourites - Blackie, Charlie Reeve and Ash, and now Lenny and Macca. There's no room for sentiment, but they are two of our best players.

Thanks for everything you did for Dabbers Lenny - a true Dabbers legend, with Macca not far behind.

The Hednesford manager says he was "suprised that Lennon was available". That would infer that the sale was instigated from the Nantwich end. I think Lennon was badly treated by Quinn last year. Dont forget that he was left out of the team for the MK Dons game (replaced by Summerskill!?!?) His non appearance in the starting line up for the Stafford away game was baffling as well. I dont think McPherson leaving is all that big a loss. Last season he seemed to be slower than in his previous spell and that led to some very risky tackles at times. He was lucky not to be sent off on more than one occasion.
What this does mean is that four of the squad that played at the end of last season have gone and we're still only in May.

Who else has left? I struggle to keep up with the news - the official website isn't that great, and the only place I find out stuff is on this site.
Any rumours about who is likely to come in?

In answer to Sheffield Dabber, White and Hughes have gone back to Crewe, Lennon and McPherson gone to Hednesford. Looking back to the end of last season,McPherson at North Ferriby and Lennon at Chester both gave the impression at the end of the game that their careers at Nantwich were ending. I wonder if the die was cast then and the announcement held back til after the season ticket price increases were announced.
On that subject the average number of "free" games in the Premier & Football League is between 6 and 7(Crewe Alex get 9) We only get 5! Manchester City have put their season tickets up by 2/3 (percentage wise) of our increases.
But then they did have a poor season!

Cheers for the info Green Eyed Monster. From what I saw, I really rated both Hughes and White - if Quinn could persuade Hughes to join us then that might go some way to make up for losing Lenny (not positionally obviously, but in the fans' good books). Lenny mentioned that with Brain, Bailey, Moss and Flynn in the team Dabbers have a strong spine on which to build. Does that mean all four are definitely signed up for next season?

With Chester & Bradford promoted, next season looks like being open with regards to promotion - perhaps relegation too  . FC United with probably be favourites, but it looks like Hednesford are gearing up for a strong promotion push themselves. Let's hope we can sign a decent striker so we can push for a play-off position.

Not sure how Crewe's progress will impact on attendance or success or otherwise on the pitch. May be no impact?

Maybe some are panicking here
Lenny was good for us but think about it quinny wants ex league players where possible here along with loanees and a sprinkling of youth so who was knocking about the dome a few games last season who has played league, lives locally and is just about at the age where he could still score?
Any ideas? Ok same nationality as JQ
Think about it

Yabber, did you bump into Steve Jones at Wembley last Sunday to ask him?

We've signed Beesley. Him and Jonah would be a prolific partnership at this level.
