Just a quick question with Rammy being new to this league, who the fancied team to win and which teams should be looking at play offs ?

My outsiders would be Radcliffe Boro looking at the signings they have already made and the noises about how much money they have.

A couple of last season's players have left Garforth over the summer, if they can be replaced hopefully we'll be challenging again for the play-offs.

I would guess the top might be something like.........

Goole
Curzon Ashton
Lancaster City
Farsley
Skelmersdale United

Look no further than Curzon Ashton and Skelmersdale United (again) for the title, with Garforth Town and possibly teams like Farsley Lancaster City and one other which could well be Radcliffe Borough in amongst it. Also expect New Mills to be well up there myself, and my team Mossley somewhere around the top 10 hopefully.

(assuming we are indeed North)

Would be great if we could sneak into the top 5 in our first season but I reckon it might take a year or two to find our feet.

Player wise - We are more appealing to our catchment area now but we do have to compete with the likes of Mossley, Trafford, Radcliffe Curzon and Salford City for those players.

Still, I estimate our crowds might increase by at least 15% :P .

You'll finish above at least 3 of those sides you have just mentioned this season is in my opinion. Time will tell

I thought there was only going to be 1 team relegated from our division this coming season, or is that next season? :?

Like Rubber I'm a Rammy Utd fan, although I haw taken in quite a few Evo-Stik North games in over the last couple of seasons. I'd like to think with the group of players we have that we can be a bit of a dark horse but I would settle for a mid-table position in our first season.

My top 5 would be

1. Farsley
2. Skem
3. Curzon
4. Salford
5. Radcliffe

10. Rammy

Thanks for your confidence, but I'd be more than happy if Clitheroe finished in the top 10 after last seasons disaster! We've got an new manager and quite a few new players who we don't know much about.
I think that Skem, Curzon and Farsley will be in the top 5, after that it's anybody's guess.
Rammy will surprise a lot of teams and I think they'll be top 10. Goole could be a wild card as I suspect not many teams in Div.1 North know much about them. Got a good manager too in John Reed (ex Harrogate, Buxton & Stalybridge).

In no particular order: Curzon Ashton, Farsley, Lancaster City, New Mills, Skelmersdale Utd

The race at the top has barely changed for the past three, four years. Don't see anything different. There will be some others in the mix as well as there usually is but that changes season by season. Garforth, Trafford and maybe Ramsbottom Utd.
