ben, i have just read on the vics forum that vics will have a players budget of
£4000.00  or very close to it.
that is one hell of a budget for this level of football. (fylde excepted  )
think i will have a couple of quid on the vics for the league.

£4000 a week? Month? A week at this level would be Fylde levels. A month, not so much.

There are two clubs in the Northern League with a bigger budget than that.

Im a Ramsbottom Utd supporter, and expect a comfortable mid table finish but who knows, play offs ?

Its a bit worrying for us when £4,000 a wk playing budgets are being talked about we wont even be near £1000 nearer £750 id say.

I am expecting us to finish about 8th.

It will be hard work with a lot of good teams in this League.

Having finished third bottom and last won a league game in mid-January, I would guess we are people's favourites to finish in the bottom two.

Plenty of new faces coming into the squad though, so hopefully we can be competitive.

Romulus, finished third from bottom but beat New Mills 2-1 and 5-2 at Church Lane.

Bogey team or what !

I can believe it, it's an isolated little league which really doesn't fit to where it is in the pyramid.

Those figures are ridiculous in my opinion, and makes a mockery of the idea that clubs can't afford the travel in the Evo-Stick League really.

Prescot have an entirely new management team, and the old guard players look like they're leaving with the previous management. Totally new-look team for the coming season by the looks of it. Not getting too optimistic though. I'd take 40 points if you offered me them now.
