Yes but we are coming from the BSN so if we rocked up in Evo 1N, then it wouldn't affect things in the Evostik Premier?

As for Dean Street grading, nobody really knows, someone claims as low as F but I can't see it. Apprently to play in the Evostik we need to play in an E with the ability to get to D by March 31st?

I do not believe this is the case, promoted teams have until March 31st of the following year to get the ground up to the standard of the league you are in. However, when you start a groundshare the ground already has to have the grading for the league you are playing in.

When we (Worksop Town) were locked out of our ground, we had to find a ground that already had a EvoStik Premier League grading (grade C) hence our 80 mile round trips to Hucknall & Ilkeston for home games. Initially Retford United was not an option as that only had EvoStik 1 grading (grade D), we were not allowed to play there giving us until the following March to get it up to standard. Once Retford United's ground obtained the grade C grading we were then able to ground share (only 16 mile round trips). When Worksop Parramore bought our old ground they invited us back to groundshare with them, but again ground improvements had to be made to get the grade C grading for the Evostik Prem before we were allowed to play there.

Based on our experience if Darlington are to play in the Evostik Prem then Shilden needs to have a grade C grading already or grade D already for Evostik Div 1. One caveat I might place on that is that they may give you until the league AGM in three weeks time (June 16th) to get the ground up to the required standard?

Shildon is apparently an F, which won't matter if we're in the Northern League, but our board are under the impression we will be given time to do the necessary work.

Luckily Shildon has some of the more major C boxes already ticked - capacity, covered area, seats, hard standing, floodlights, turnstiles, so any ground improvement work undertaken, if we are allowed, might not be major.

From what I can gather the main problems are changing rooms and toilets - the toilets can be rectified easily enough with a portakabin or two, plumbed to the main.

Agree with this last bit.

Darlington have been provisionally assigned to the Northern League by the FA given that they are not eligible to transfer their FA license because they have not satisfied their debts.

It's confirmed on the Hellenic league website where they show a reprieve for Fleet town

http://www.hellenicleague.co.uk/club_news/hellenic.html

Quote:
Fleet Town FC have been reprieved from relegation following the removal of Darlington FC from the top tiers.

Yeah that was posted last weekend.

Yet apparently Harrogate RA and Frickley don't know if they've been reprieved yet, according to Ray Simpson who knows a lot about non league football.

Got to say, NL looks ever more likely for us.

Mind you, Kings Lynn don't know where they're going yet, and they've been in the Evostik before, although they could be going to Evo South. Weren't they the team that Durham City played the wrong un against that time?

I've heard that Goole and New Mills might be moving to Div 1 North.
Is this correct?

There's a report that Wroxham will refuse promotion if they are put in the Evo Stick League (Div 1 S)

That's not a misspelling of Wrexham but the place near Yarmouth!! - 220 miles from Market Drayton.

Regionalised football??

Can't honestly see them being placed in that division anyway, it would be ridiculous.

thats true, local newspaper reports say that wroxham want the ryman league or they will refuse promotion, its between great yarmouth and norwich,i have visited that ground a few years ago and it was of very poor standard, apparently improved it since then, would not have made NCEL standard 5 years ago.

Surely they won't be placed in Evo-Stick Division 1 South though?

Unlikely.

The Eastern Counties League is a feeder for the Isthmian League and the Southern Southern League.

Realistically, they are likely to be placed in either the Ryman Division 1 North or the Evo-Stik South Division 1 Central.
