unfortunately, due to no fault of our own due to the CVA not being agreed the old Darlington ended up owing the St John's ambulance around 10k I understand.

Despite not being oblidged to, and money being tight it would be nice if we could pay it back.

Given the extra fans we would bring, I think it would be a good idea if anything over a certain avergae gate for clubs when we visit is donated to St John's...that way everyone wins, you get bigger crowds, and adecent service/charity is paid.

Be a good way of showing solidarity with everyone also.

Not paying a CVA? Is your Chairman related to Jim Rushe by any chance? Vics owe a School £6000, it's disgusting.

Please can we have Quakerz removed and the username transferred to the RealQuakerz. No Darlington supporter would ever post something as ridiculous as that. Just to say, we are very much looking forward to the Evostik, it will be a completely new experience.

I think this is the best way, we aren't allowed to pay it ourselves, as if we do we open ourselves up to other claims from the CVA.

As we will be raising most of the crowds when we visit, it will in effect be the Darlington fans paying anyway--but as it will come from the home clubs, no CVA complications.

So higher crowds for the smaller teams
Charity paid off indirectly by the Darlington fans.

Everyone wins!

So you are asking other fans to pay for our excesses, I don't agree at all. The payments of debts rests firmly at our door and we have no claim on home gate money nor should we.

the problem is I don't think we can pay our debts to st Johns, without becoming liable for everything as it will set a precedent of who we are paying.

Lets be honest, no disrespect but we will probably be doubling the attendances of some teams, and really it is Darlo fans money.
Am sure most of the clubs wouldn't mind giving a small percentage of what darlo fans are giving them to help out a good cause.

Sadly I don't think its that easy, as I said above if the new club is being seen to pay off the debts of the old club selectively it opens up a precdent for other people who were owed money. Plus money is going to be tight for the football club for a while.

Explain...

How is it really Darlo fans money, just because Darlo will take a lot away, does not mean the Club deserve any of the gate takings...This problem is nothing to do with other clubs so why in the hell should they put there hard earned cash into Darlingtons problems

If your concerned and upset about the St Johns Ambulance, do the club a favour and pay it out of your pocket, out of the goodness of your heart.

I definitely don't think you should be oblidged to, just maybe a nice gesture, and a good way of getting around the CVA restrictions which stop us paying them direct.

Unfortunately (and again through no fault of our own) this is the second time a CVA has left St Johns short of cash due to previous owners.
