Goose, interesting view. Of course, that would have 2nd place hanging about for over a week after the end of the season with no game and might hand an advantage to the team that has played one or two to get to the final. On the other hand, they would be more tired.
I agree that given there are play-offs, to play a single game on the ground of the side finishing higher is giving what advantage you can to the side finishing higher in the table. Last night Rushall took that advantage, Newcastle didn't.
To those who say it isn't fair

that a side can finish eleven points behind second place and be in the play-off final, I say if it were your side, would you turn it down? .... Didn't think so.
Whatever the outcome, we will make everything out of what promises to be a great day out on Monday. I hope the sight of over 200 visiting supporters doesn't prove to be too much for the Rushall turnstiles and stewards to cope with!!!
