Vikings travel to Rossington tonight, hoping to keep the winning run going after last saturdays 3-0 win at Barton town, Karl rose squad taking shape with some more new signings hoping to impress tonight, team looking organised and gaining match fitness for the start of the season.

On the receiving end of a 5-1 defeat, some soft goals conceded and a couple of good ones from the opposition, plenty to work on in training.

admitedly its never nice to be on the end of a 5-1 spanking even in pre-season however in the grand scheme of things pre-season results mean absolutely nothing and the management team clearly had other priorities 2nd half resulting in wholesail changes which obviously impacted on the end result, fair play to Rossington though i was quite impressed with them be intresting to see how they get on next season. lots for Karl and Dudge to work on, but pre-season is all about learning lessons for when it really matters, like the sandman says conceded some soft goals and the keeper had an absolute mare (think i may dust my gloves off!!) but i actually liked the look of the 1st half side defo some promise and a decent mix of youth and experience with potential for a few goals as well, squad seems to be shaping up quite nicely for me especially when considering the club are basically starting behind everyone else due to the repreive and re-shuffle and whilst shopping on a limited budget. A decent keeper would be the priority for me as it can make so much difference

Potentially an excellent addition for Goole, certainly very capable of been a regular goal scorer at that level, think the key for wade will be getting and staying match fit and hopefully remaining injury free, if he is used wisely he could be a great bit of business by Karl

When he first came on loan to Frickley at start of year he looked the 'dog's round danglies' for me made a real impact with both his goals and general leading of the line but unfortunately the rigours of a constant sat/Tues shedual seemed to take its toll on a player that had arrived lacking match fitness the niggles returned and in truth he faded away performance wise however he always gave 100% and you could see in his frustration that there was a far better player in there somewhere, like I say if he stays fit and more importantly 'match fit' and gets a run of games he could and hopefully will make a decent impact
