Found Myself at Warrington Town again tonight. It was a good game too!

For the first 30 minutes or so it was very even. Curzon took the lead, but this woke Warrington up and the equalised pretty much instantly. Warrington continued to pressure Curzon and got two more goals before Half time. The second half was Scrappy for most of it with Curzon making a few chances near the end.

Finished 3-2 to Warrington.

I see ex-vics man Tony Evans still spends 95% of the game off-side

Lancaster 0-0 Trafford

Trafford didn't have a shot on target! Absolutely no attacking threat whatsoever. They spent most of the game playing tika taka passing it around their back 4.

We weren't much better going forward but we did have the only chances of the game. Their keeper played very well to keep us out.

They did that against Warrington, they're going to balls it up one day!

Not only that, but they spent most of the first half passing it from side to side without getting out of their own half and it was one of the most boring 45 minutes of football I've ever seen. No idea how they managed to score so many so far this season.

Well to be fair, their first two games were against Ossett Albion and Wakefield who prior to last night's games were both without a point and had goal differences of -13 and -16 respectively.

I notice that Ossett seem to have turned the corner though unless Farsley were just plain poor.

From Tuesday night's FA Cup replay, Mickleover Sports 1 New Mills 1 aet with New Mills going through 6-5 on penalties.

Harry Noon got the New Mills goal five minutes from the end of normal time with Martin Smyth equalising for Sports with two minutes left.

Dave Fitzpatrick had a penalty saved by the Sports keeper in the first five minutes of extra time but no further goals.

So into Penalties.

Harry Noon put the Millers' third spot kick high over the bar with the penalties score at 3-2 to Mickleover before Coates saved Sports' fourth kick. So 4-4 on spot kicks at the end of the five apiece and into sudden death. Both teams scored their sixth kicks before Coates again saved Sports seventh and New Mills converted theirs.

Given the overall play throughout the game, it was the correct result.

Sheffield FC 1 Abbey Hey 2.

I was amazed to see this result this morning.

I suspect that the result was more to do with that paragon of football management, the Driffield Destroyer, badly misjudging his team's chances of beating a team from two divisions below them and as a result, dropping five of his winning team from Saturday.

Garforth 2-2 Radcliffe
A greatly improved performance from Garforth last night with another new batch of players making an appearance. 7 players have been added to the squad list on the back of the programme since the last home game.
We looked a lot stronger defensively and I was impressed with the No. 4 for Garforth won most arial challenges with Radcliffe's tall blond centre forward. We also played some excelent fast flowing attacking football and should have had the game sewn up well before Bourough's two late goals to clinch a draw.

I'm not sure which style I find most difficult to watch. We are certainly taking 'keep the ball' to extremes at the moment. Having thrashed three very poor teams it's hard to tell how successful it's going to be. Only conceding one goal all season suggest it has its benefits but there are times when I really want it popped behind the opposition defence at least once or twice but we are far more likely to play it backwards than forwards. Warrington kicked lumps off us for the first half and just kept lumping it up to the fat bloke up front which found equally hard to watch. Stockport County were very route one in pre season and it was painful (and ineffective). Hopefully we'll find a happy medium before long
