Team Northumbria appear to be virtually promoted but have a battle on their hands for the championship trophy. Stockton Town won in midweek which puts the Anchors in the driving seat to obtain successive championship titles. Town still have an outside chance of promotion if they were to win this game and Synthonia were to lose at Whickham. If that scenario were to happen, then there could still be everything to play for on Easter Monday when Town host the Synners.

If Town can reproduce the form that sealed a deserved 3-2 victory back in November, then Team North will have to show some resolve. That first half display by Town, was undoubtedly their best performance of the season in treacherous conditions (wind, rain, sleet, snow and the odd sunshine) and the students couldn't wait to get back in the dressing room, change their apparel and down a few warm drinks!! Team North head coach, Colin Stromsoy has an excellent squad at his disposal and he will be confident of another win in Billingham, after seeing off the Synners a few weeks back. Ben Dibb-Fuller was part of the squad that missed out on promotion last season and he is possibly the most technically gifted player in the division, along with Gateshead bound Macaulay Langstaff (Synners). Andre-Vasile Arderlean has experience of division one football with Durham City and Guisborough Town; The midfielder of Romanian descent has settled in straight away, scoring and creating goals. Another player with European connections is tough centre back Adam Chrotowski (Polish) who played alongside his brother at Ryton & Crawcrook for many years. Stromsoy has been delighted with the lifestyle and attitudes of his players, many of whom use professional football diets and it seems to be working for them.

Only eighteen, Heywood is a strong and imposing left back who likes to bomb forward. Heywood has great positional awareness but also uses his speed on the rare occasion he gets caught out. Scores vital goals and you wonder if Easington could have been serious promotion contenders if they had kept hold of him during pre-season. Heywood also spent time at Lilleshall, England's training centre when he was a youth player.

Team Northumbria 3-4 Darlington RA (Dibb-Fuller, Heywood, McKeown)
Crook 2-3 Team Northumbria (Richardson, Ardelean, Bradley)
Northallerton 2-2 Team Northumbria (Ardelean 2)
Billingham Synthonia 1-2 Team Northumbria (Dibb-Fuller 2)
Team Northumbria 2-1 Easington (Gunn, Heywood)
Team North 2-0 Brandon (Ardelean, Richardson)

Last Season: Billingham Town 1-2 Team Northumbria Billingham Town 1-0 Team Northumbria (EAMC) Team Northumbria 2-0 Billingham Town
This Season: Team Northumbria 2-3 Billingham Town

Jamie Davis sits this one out due to suspension but it's unclear whether Jamie will be issued with a one or three game ban. If it's the latter, then Davis will become available for the Tow Law match. Chris Dickinson comes back into the side after a two game hiatus. Danny Rowbotham, Gary Redman and Elliott Beddow had run outs for the reserves in midweek and should be part of the squad. Alex Leeds will be in goal, despite a groin strain and a black eye earned during training on Tuesday night!

Leeds, Moore, Redman, Dixon, Rowbotham, Crossen, Oakley, Connor, Osmond, Macdonald, Lavan, Keogh, Dunlavey, Hogan, Beddow, Dickinson, Hutchinson.
