BILLINGHAM TOWN v WILLINGTON PREVIEW
Tuesday 28th March, Bedford Terrace, 7:30pm k.o

The final night game of a long hard season sees Town entertain Willington at Bedford Terrace. Willington are an historic club with a hard working committee and they earnestly followed Town during our pulsating FA Vase run which was greatly appreciated. However, the niceties end there as Town need to secure more points to guarantee FA Cup football next season while Willington urgently require the three points to starve off relegation.

THE OPPOSITION:
Town have an excellent record against Willington during the last two seasons although Town's first campaign back in division two ended up with one draw and two defeats. Much has changed since 2014/15 for Billingham Town but Willington continue to hover in the lower echelons of the division. After a difficult start to the season, former management pair Rob and Anth Lee returned to Hall Road, replacing Gary Innes in the process. With limited or no resources at their disposal, survival is the key aim but Willington are currently struggling to score goals and they are badly in need of victories. In recent weeks, the Lee's have raided Crook Town and brought in Decklin Moss, Peter Brown, Ryan Cummings, along with William Preston while Christopher Sawyer arrives via Darlington R.A. One player who has shone throughout the season is 20 year old centre back, Lewis Milner and he is part of the reason why Willington have been relatively competitive since the turn of the year.

ONE TO WATCH: WILLIAM PRESTON
Preston began his second spell of the season at Willington, back in January after a short stint at near neighbours Crook Town. He was amongst the substitutes when Town won 2-0 in the reverse fixture but wasn't involved in our 5-2 victory in the FA Vase. When Town won 6-1 at Crook the week before Christmas, Preston was one of a few Crook players who could come out of the game with any credit.

RECENT RESULTS/AWAY FORM/HEAD TO HEAD
Willington 2-5 Blyth Town (G.Stephenson, Lazonby)
Bedlington 0-0 Willington
Hebburn 3-0 Willington
Willington 0-3 Heaton Stannington

Although Alex Leeds is carrying a groin strain, he will replace Kieren Proctor in goal. Town have injury concerns over Mattie Crossen, Lee Moore and Jack Connor. Midfielder, Aaron Foley completed his move back to Thornaby to regain his fitness and could return to Town in pre-season. Both Elliott Beddow and Jamie Davis have pending suspensions on the horizon.
