Saturday 25th March, Bedford Terrace, 3:00 pm k.o

On Saturday, Amelia Lily visits Bedford Terrace and hopefully, her visit will give the club a much needed boost after a difficult period for Manager Barry Oliver and Assistant, Graham Popple. The pressure that was mounting may have been lifted on the squad, now that promotion has become only a mathematical possibility rather than a certainty. A big crowd and a vocal support is just what the lads need right now and it should be an entertaining game against a Durham side who are technically impressive but prone to Kevin Keeganesque implosion tendencies.

After being promotion contenders for the majority of the season, Durham are now only playing for pride. Their form has slumped since a 3-1 win at Crook in early February which has ruled out any chance of returning to division one at the first time of asking but they have suffered with injuries to key players along the way. Last weeks semi-final defeat to Stockton in the Earnest Armstrong Memorial Cup, effectively ended their season that initially, promised so much. However, the club has done extremely well considering an exodus of first team and youth squad players back in October when manager Chris Moore resigned due to budget constraints. Oliver Hotchkiss took over the reigns, rebuilding a new side in the process. Town lost the reverse fixture back in October to a last minute goal from Kyle Patton who has since moved on but Bradley Hird and Dan O'Reilly could be the dangerous duo on the day.

O'Reilly completed his third transfer of the season in February, returning to Durham City from Ashington. The striker began the season at West Allotment Celtic but suffered with injury setbacks shortly after joining Durham for the first time. O'Reilly appears to be the main threat along with Bradley Hird who has scored five goals in three games.

Durham 3-5 Whickham (Hird 2, Saliki)
Durham 4-5 Darlington R.A (o.g, Hird 2, Hennis)
Stockton *2-2 Durham (EAMC O'Reilly, Hird)
Durham 1-3 Blyth Town (O'Reilly)
Heaton Stannington 2-0 Durham
Billingham Synthonia 1-0 Durham
*Stockton won 4.3 on penalties

Mattie Crossen aggravated his thigh injury at Bedlington and missed out the midweek game against Heaton Stannington. Town are short of options in central defence although Gary Redman, Jamie Davis and Jack Connor have all played in that position in recent weeks. Alex Leeds is still out of action with a thigh strain.

Proctor, Moore, Redman, Dixon, Oakley, Connor, Osmond, Macdonald, Davis, Lavan, Keogh, Dunlavey, Hogan, Beddow, Dickinson, Hutchinson.
