resigned to take over the manager's job at Shaw Lane Aquaforce. Apparently they are a wealthy club with ambitions to join the NPL. (Irony noted given what I have been talking about on another thread  ), had a quick look at their website (bad news for our friend from Buxton, Mr Nibbler, dogs aren't allowed at the Shaw Lane Complex  ). It's not the best website but I did gather that Mark Whitehouse and Carl Fothergill play for them.

Forget Craig, he's gone now; the king is dead, long live the king.

CV's to the usual address.

They are indeed a wealthy club, I'm not sure if Fothergill is there anymore. Quite a few ex-Frickley players with them, Jamie Green in goal, Luke Danville at CB, Whitehouse as you said & I believe Grant Darley is with them. Ex Emley striker Ash Flynn being the main man up front bagging all the goals. And yes their website is rubbish.

Craig Elliott is the new manager of Boston United, they lost yesterday at Harrogate Town 3-1.

Looking through the list of former Boston managers, quite a few with Yorkshire connections down years, such as Fred Tunstall ex Sheffield United & England, Paul Todd ex Hull City, Jim Smith ex Halifax later manager of Birmingham, Oxford, Derby, Portsmouth etc; Howard Wilkinson later manager at Sheffield Wednesday and Leeds; Mel Sterland ex Wednesday, Leeds & England; Steve Evans one of many Leeds managers in recent times, now at Mansfield and Paul Hurst ex Rotherham and now in charge of Shrewsbury Town. Also worthy of a mention is Don Donovan former Everton & Ireland defender and grandfather of Look North presenter Keeley Donovan. When Boston played Ossett Town in the Unibond a few years ago, their boss was former West Ham defender Tommy Taylor.

Best of luck to Craig.

Craig won his first game for Boston yesterday, beating York City 2-1.

elsewhere in National League North, former Ossett Town player Chris Bolder has been appointed new manager of North Ferriby United. He had been Steve Kittrick's assistant at Scarborough. Chris was one of a number of former Grimsby Town players Steve Richards signed for Ossett Town, Chris left us for North Ferriby where he played for quite a few years.
