the posters in the club have the admission price for the one N/L team in Darlo v the fallen ones as £6

this absolutely shocking

my understanding is that the gate money will be a 50/50 split

they get 50% just for turning up....

Hmmmmmm surely that will still be good for your club if they bring 500 fans though?

Not being funny here, but if us get 50 at most home games then getting darlo in and putting entrance fee up is good business?

Hmmmmmmm ???

Ra man , 4 posts in 6 years ? Where have you been !

I admit to raising my eyebrows at the £6 entrance fee, but if it is a shared gate then maybe that's why.
Judging by the turnout at northallerton , could we be looking at the first 1000 crowd in recent times that wasn't for a firework display !

Good luck to Darlington FC , I hope the Darlo two clubs can somehow be mutually benifical to each other.

Thing is Quakerz, last season it was £3 for adults , this season I believe its £4 . So understandable that £6 is an eye raiser for RA fans - even if it is a money spinner.
Will you be attending ?

I might do.

To be honest, it's Darlo fans that should be raising their eyebrows, prices have clearly been raised to take advantage of us.

But lets say you get a gate of 1,000, it's a big difference in gate income!

Prices have been agreed by BOTH parties.

Darlo game v Northallerton earlier in the week was £5 entry and most supporters will save on travel costs to Brinkburn Road.

There are a couple of logical reasons why we get half of the gate receipts in our preseason games.

First reason is that we've just really setting up everything, and feel we do not have the required volunteers to host a game yet.

Second reason we get half of the gate receipts is because all games against NL opposition will contain more Darlo fans, and our club effectively is promising you a bigger pay day because of this, even at 50/50.

You could play some Wearside team in front of 20 people paying £3, or you could play Darlo in front of 1,000 people paying £6 but we want half. I know which I would choose if I'm looking at the club coffers.

1 Who said we are cash strapped? We still want to make pre season money though, just like you.

2 What amount of money are we paying players, what are you referring to?

3 Nobody said it is your fault that we are in "this situation"

4 Short memories, what are you talking about? Aren't we helping you out by playing you in a friendly? We could have said no, you could have said no.
