Since I'm a little bored and inebriated I thought I'd have a look forward to tomorrow's games. I usually get it completely wrong anyway.
Abbey Hey v. Atherton Colls
Whilst Colls are quite capable of springing a surprise I reckon we've got to go for Abbey Hey in this one. 2-1.
Atherton LR v. Leek CSOB
Difficult to call. I'm going to sit on the fence and go for 1-1!!
Daisy Hill v. Oldham Boro'
Going off the video posted on Ashton Town's website (thank you, Matthew Martin) Daisy Hill look brittle defensively. Consequently I'm going for a 2-0 victory for Oldham.
Eccleshall v. Ashton Town
Bottom plays third. These type of games always worry me since it is often the case that the highly placed team struggles against the lowly/lower placed team. I'd guess it has to do with attitude where the higher placed team are expecting a stroll in the park whereas the lower placed team has a point to prove.
Having said all that, if Ashton have a full strength team and go out with the right attitude I'd say 3-0 to Ashton.
Formby v. Chadderton
Formby. Not seen them this season but they seem to be a puzzle, inside an enigma wrapped in a riddle. Theoretically they should win this one but, somehow, their bubble seems to have burst. Strange one. Given home advantage I'll go for 1-0 to Formby.
Irlam v. AFC Darwen
Hard to back against Darwen though they have suffered a couple of unexpected losses. Still think they'll have too much for Irlam. 2-0 away victory.
Nelson v. Cheadle Town.
Nelson still seem to be in the process of sorting themselves out which isn't helping their cause. I'm expecting Cheadle to do well this year without rising to any really dizzy heights. 3-0 away victory.
Northwich Villa v. West Didsbury & Chorlton
Northwich looked a poor side when we played them. No doubt they'll be looking to rectify that but I'd expect a victory for the league's newcomers. 2-0
Rochdale Town v. Holker OB
Dunno what's happened to the Old Boys but they've had a disastrous start. If Rochdale can capitalise on any dominance they have then it should be a relatively easy victory. Unfortunately (from a Rochdale POV) from what I've seen they find it difficult to score. On that basis I think I'll go for 1-1.
