well im happy with that result. :D :D :D ,the boys battled well in the 2nd half, with ilkeston having long periods of possesion, not a game for the purist, stopped too many times by a bewidering bumbling fool in black, that was a terrible performance from the ref,it was worse than ours, they should have been at least 2 up at half time, credit to tom woodhead with 2 superb saves in the last 15mins,thought the front 2 looked good as a pairing, woody making both goals for big gav,and thank god for jake picton at the back,
this victory only papers over the cracks,as we are still lacking in certain areas on the pitch, lucky 3 pts,but i will take em thanks ilson, your poor finishing kept us in the game.
p.s. dont think ive ever seen a team awarded a free kick but have their player booked-and this happened twice to us.wtf?

Good to get the three points on board, need as many as possible. Not surprised by the goalscorer, but a little
by the return of Chris Wood, think the Blues need him as they are short up front without him. Good to hear that
he made both goals. A bit of luck for a change, need some more before the season's over. Takes a bit of pressure
off the manager and the players.
Don't like the sound of the ref', certainly have had a few bad un's so far.
Hope to see the next victory, was elsewhere last night.
Think Ilkeston will soon start to pick up points if they play like they did last night and sharpen up up front.

Only managed to see the first half, we were very lucky not to be 3 or 4 adrift. Very edgy indeed at the back. Picton again showing some resilience in his performance, Credit to the players for digging deep though and not giving up on it.
Wood certainly did his chances no harm, and looked decent with Big Gav. At the moment you always feel that we have to rely on some individual brilliance from the Big man for us to score.

The result was definately more important than the performance. we have certainly put in far better performances in than that this season and got nothing. I suppose the monkeys of the players backs with the first league win.

More importantly SMS, how are you today, you brave little solider - have you had a lightly boiled egg this morning with a lemsip?

Thank goodness Gavin Allott's hamstring problem cleared up. Be in more trouble without him. Will need to be
better on Saturday at Chorley, can't say I fancy the Blues' chances there, but stranger results have happened in
cup matches.
That performance should give Chris Wood a bit of confidence.
Hope you are okay, SMS.
Hope the Ilkeston fan with his own fork enjoyed a pie at the match too.

Still dragged my sorry ass to work like a good little soldier, Come to think of it, i should have had some soldiers with my egg...Obviously the team play better in my absence, even Jay Maybury said via Twitter i'm a jinx anyway...

Certainly did thank you, and the nights result at Frickley was eased somewhat when CR7 did for City at the Bernabau at the death.
