Sad to hear of former Frickley Colliery player, Harold Wilkinson's death. If Frickley had a hall of fame he would be in it.
Could do with his loyalty and goalscoring ability now.

Can't remember him either, but probably saw him play watching from the tips when I was a boy. I add my condolences too to
his family and friends.

Would a virtual hall of fame on the website be a good idea to honour the likes of Harold Wilkinson?

So sorry to hear of the sad death of Harold Wilkinson,as a boy I watched Harold mesmerise the opposition at Westfield Lane, and I also saw him walking up the lane to the pit when going on "afters" a very unassuming, but a very nice bloke!

Deepest condolences to Harold's family.
Before my time, I was born the same year he last played for Frickley but we've got to celebrate all our legends of which Harold was certainly one.
RIP Harold

What can you say about a gesture like that?
All donastions given at Harolds funeral will be given to the club he loved Frickley AFC.
God bless all his family and friends.

Looking at his statistics and the length of his Frickley Career, he's got to be in the shake up for a naming of a stand,or something of that nature if we ever decide on doing something like that.

Also his picture, Is that a Frickley shirt he's wearing, I presume so .....Anyone know ?

SMS it certainly is a frickley shirt. From the team who played in the 1963.

I believe naming the main stand after him would be a good gesture, but think a hall of fame for all of Colliery and
Athletic's legends would probably be a better idea, even if it's a virtual reality one on the website.
