That's really pis*ed me off, Iv'e sponsored his kit as well... I thought there was something brewing having briefly spoken to his Dad last Monday. It looked like to me that Danny was not enjoying the role he was being asked play, with little support up front to help him with Allott missing.

What's he like? I can't say i'm surprised we've signed a striker given the chances our current strike partnership has missed.

He's lost a lot of weight this season, and looks fitter.....without a doubt the system we play does not really suit him......You will get the best out of him in a 4-4-2, with someone to work off him upfront and 2 wingers, so he can get his big nut on some crosses.

I wish him all the best. His Dad's a real character as well, he doesn't like losing.....but who does. Without doubt if i were a SPS fan with all these ex Frickley players with a losing mentality, I would be worried.......But i already know Salkster's worried anyhow.

My bet is that Danny Souths replacement could just well be someone called Lee Morris, Just maybe worth an outside punt.




Surely we could attract Emile Heskey.......a free agent, and he's about our level....Not sure the shirts would fit him though !

Thought he would have give it a bit more time at Frickley this season, but I wish him all the best. What I don't understand is tho, that he's gone to a team what isn't really any better then us. But with 5 former Frickley players there he maybe wanted to player with folk that he knows.

Cheers for that sms. A big striker is probably what we need and could possibly compliment Scott Hogan who returns from suspension tomorrow. I've always like big strikers at this level such as Cusworth when he was with us. Shame he's wasted at Parkgate. That bet on Morris is probably not a bad shout. Seems to have realised he won't play much at Ferriby this season.

Regarding the former Frickley players Whitehouse and Callery were with us for most of last season. Adams has missed the last few games through injury and only played with lovell for 60 minutes. When i've seen those two together they make a good partnership. Turner has been a bit in and out and Darley hasn't featured much. Darley has been playing as a striker for us and I don't quite rate him there. All these players certainly make us look good after what we was saying about you a few years ago

Rinky sometimes played Darley behind a sole striker, especially in away games...Never really worked.....I see him as a tough tackling centre midfielder, who at times can really split a defence with one pass.....He doesn't really score enough, as he does get himself into good positions, he normally blazed it over the bar.

I know....

Cost a Fortune in washing powder doesn't it.
