Just watching the Europa league tie between Liverpool and Hearts....Former Frickley player from the 90's Henry Templeton son David Templeton is on the wing for Hearts. Runs similiar to his old man and I believe he was linked to a big money move to Rangers before their demise.

Who can forget Henry who was as famous for his all night drinking sessions around town whilst the earlier hours before turning up for a match..He was a real throw back to the 70s/80's. I'm not sure how he managed to end up playing for the Blues, I think it may have been something to do with ex chairman Mick Twiby, didn't he live above the shop ?

Had a look around the web to find out what he was doing, apparently he was inducted into Ayr Utd's hall of fame in 2007.

I also found this video of him scoring for Ayr Utd at believe or not Hearts, but they got hammered. I remember Hearts had a very good team then...........Who did he score against in goal. Our very own Henry Smith, another ex-blue.

I believe David Templeton was named after Rangers's winger David Cooper. Wonder if Frickley could introduce their
own hall of fame? Think Henry Templeton might be included in it too. Didn't he move to England because he was in
some sort of trouble in his native Scotland? Pretty certain he did live above Mick Twiby's shop and Mick was involved in
bringing him to the club. Two real characters in the side when Billy Whitehurst was there too. Think the drinking binges
caught up with him in the end, wasn't as lean or as fit at the back end of his stay in South Elmsall, a great dribbler and set
up quite a few goals - a bit too good for that standard really.

It states that above in the link, also David Templeton did move to Rangers last night on deadline day, after scoring on his last game against Liverpool the other night.

I wish David Templeton success with his new club. My dad used to have a labourer working for him who was a mad
keen Rangers' fan, a Scot with a Scottish accent though he is from Rotherham, even called Scot. Used to fly into
a red-faced rage and shout abuse if he even saw a Celtic' shirt.
Didn't a few Scottish fans of a club up there kind of adopt Frickley as their second club and come down to watch a
game at Westfield Lane once, cannot remember the club or they ever coming to another match.
I can remember Duncan, a Hearts' fan originally from a mining town near the Scottish capital watching Frickley, lived
in Balby on the same estate as myself. Moves about a bit and haven't seen him at Westfield Lane for a long time. Think
he moved to Eastwood but believe he may now live at Bentley Toll Bar. Really admired Henry Smith.
I still like the idea of a Frickley Hall Of Fame, don't know who would do the inducting into it or how it could be set up?
Something for the supporters' club maybe? Wonder if there is some way of raising money for the new changing rooms
etc through it?
