Well I can for one say that there was no booing of any way, shape or form when Ashmore was carried off. So whoever is saying this, is basically telling a load of rubbish. If anything he was clapped off by the Frickley fans.

By the way I was going to swear, instead of using the word "rubbish" but now Frickley1 is back I didn't want to have a telling off from him.

If that's the case, I have no problem in apologising, But apparently a minority of fans were giving him some stick as he left the pitch according to some of the Matlock players.

also on Matlocks forum. The opposition's views of Frickley are always interesting, and i know it's not always right. But i always like to look how Frickley is perceived by other clubs....see link

Had a look at the highlights, it looked as though it was all one way traffic in the first half, Looked a pen imo, took his foot which then hit the ball to the side, looking as though he won the ball.

Did we play with three centre back's again ?

In the incident two players jumped for a ball and both fell awkwardly. There was a lengthy stoppage as both players sustained ankle injuries with Ashmore appearing worse. Both players had to leave the field and for some reason the blues player was booked. I do not recall any booing towards Ashmore.

The ref was booed around teh same time as Ashmore was carried off (which was very slowly), for singling out a Frickley player to get booked as far as I can recall. Ashmore himself certainly got some applause from both sets of fans as he left the pitch.

Me neither - I was stood near the tunnel and all I heard was applause when Ashmore went off - as I would expect at any ground.
