Went to Hednesford last season, modern stadium with a very partisan crowd behind the goal. Hope they are not as dirty as last season, they were shocking.

sounds promising on the match report even though we were under pressure. the lads didnt give up which is a massive difference to last season. only 1 point lost on my prediction for the game and certainly not disappointed by what has been said. shame allott didnt play, hopefully tuesday will be our starter for three

Something to build upon, Frickley have proved they can score without Gavin Allott in the side
and should be more dangerous going forward when he is, doubt it'll be on Tuesday if he's done
his hamstring, can take six weeks or more and usually goes again if the player attempts to play
too soon.
Sounds like the new goalkeeper did very well indeed, going to need him in top form to stand any
chance of making mid-table safety imo. Could be another good 'un from Brigg.

Under a lot of pressure from a good side who will be in the mix in my opinion. Blues took lead against run of play. Went 2 behind but didn't give up and started to come more into it especially after scoring second goal. Jimmy Ghaichem unlucky with a 30yd drive which skimmed bar. Could have gone further behind when a corner saw all blues team in searching for an equaliser. Hednesford player had ball all to himself but Tom Woodhead managed to foil him. Glad to have played Hednesford away now and not later.

Think Hednesford will be disappointed if they're not in the top three of four at the end of the season.
Hopefully the two home games will be a little easier and points gained.

good performance by the team battled on well even though behind didnt see that last season once

agree with Tmc/ copper dragon....Good performance, the best thing about it was the fact that after going 3-1 down, the team didn't drop their heads but fought back. We lost it during those 20 minutes or so after half-time.
Good day (result apart)...good ground.....friendly atmosphere, and good to meet some good Frickley supporters.
Feeling a lot more optimistic for the rest of the season. Well done lads.

Didn't see the match, Reading Hednesford's website and forum, It sounded though 3-2 flattered us a bit. Sounds like the keeper had a good game, which was a concern with Ben Scott not playing now. Edit: Just seen the highlights, If i Were a Hednesford fan, i would be saying we should have had 6. The defence looked poor to say the least, I suppose that's what happens when you play pre-season games against lesser quality teams, and you are not exposed enough. I'm sure they will be working on that.

Saying that, You are not going to come every week against a quality forward line like Hednesford have with Harvey, Woolfe and co.

I don't think we will have as many problems as last season with regards to hitting the back of the net. Our problems will probably be whether we can keep it tight at the back, especially with the 3 at the back system. In the pre-season games i saw, We are not shy at flooding forward.

Good effort, but quite optimistic we can be a force at home. There's a good spirit about them and with two games on the bounce at home now, I don't think they need to be disheartened from a narrow loss and can really look at making a statement of Intent at home.

Also, It would be nice if the team could have a team photo this Saturday. As we have not had one for a number of years. New regime, New Team and New Optimism and all that !!

having watched the video i wouldn't say it was that much more than a normal game where you expect pressure especially away and the first game. the penalty after watching it several times seemed to be rather fortunate to be given, looks like he fell over his own foot.

hedfud did have the majority of possesion and chances but we put in some decent ones ourselves. liked the lob someone tried near the end, that would have been special.

The more I see of the penalty the less convinced I am. Think the video was a good reflection of the game. Agree about the atmosphere with the home and blues fans, enjoyable apart from the result.
