Job done. Could have been four up before the home side scored. Good hat-trick by Gavin Allott and playing a
part in the two other goals, good finish by little Reece. Danny South putting in a great shift supporting his strike
partner, pity he didn't score. Deserved one for the hard work for the cause.
A small squad, only two subs named, but they dominated the second half in particular. Liked Brigg's left winger,
made some good runs and put in some decent crosses and showed plenty of fight, too much on one occasion maybe.
A very good pint of Guinness (proper draught) in The Woolpack. The Dying Gladiator very quiet, seems to get less
in each time I visit it.
A nice big flat pitch, why a lot of teams like to play friendlies there.
Think there might have been a very good score indeed if all the Blues' players had turned up.
A good team performance, plenty putting the work in, with big Gavin too good for The Zebras.
A bit of Pete Howey about Reece Fennell, wont do bad if he has a good a career in non-league football, think he might
score a few for the Under Nineteens - great to see one given a run out with the big boys.
Brigg somewhere I always enjoy visiting, a pleasant town centre and plenty of public houses in walking distance of each other.
Not a bad little football club too.

Hope there are more players to chose from at Ossett and Garforth. A very good chance of being unbeaten in pre-season.
Wouldn't be too surprised to see Gavin Allott on the scoresheet in both matches, does like a hat-trick.

not seen any football yet, other priorities unfortunately beckon at the minute. must say i'm looking forward to seeing this guy allott. seems to be scoring for fun, hopefully he can carry this into the league.

Gavin Allott scores goals and makes them too, good in the air and on the deck. Hard to knock off the ball.
If he gets two, he goes for the third like all strikers should. Misses a few but keeps going. Not much not to
like about him really. Some one I recommend to Frickley when he was starring at Goole. I wasn't surprised
when Guiseley came in for him.
No idea why there were so few players at Brigg, but it gave Reece Fennell a run out, which probably wouldn't
have happened if everybody had turned up.
Better to win than lose in pre-season but the standard of opposition hasn't been great.
Yet to see any team I support lose at Brigg, long may the run continue.
League and cup matches another thing altogether.

Regarding players, this is school holiday season and families need summer days away. A Friday match can mean a long weekend away on Saturday, Sunday, Monday etc. Some players may also have prior arrangements in summer, guests at weddings for example.

Brigg had plenty of subs, not that it made any difference. Perhaps they don't go on holiday or get invited to
weddings or just want a shirt more than the Blues' players. I doubt the latter. Easier to turn up for home games. A few more of
the Under Nineteens could possibly have travelled to get a bit of experience. Good job there weren't too many injuries on the day.
I expect there will be a few more on duty against Ossett and at home against Garforth.

Blade the new frickley 1 perhaps they was waiting for a train for five hours

Not the easiest place to get to by train, there is a railway station in Brigg but few trains stop there. Maybe
they were, copper dragon. I am not the new anyone just myself. I got a lift there and back as it happens.

A bit of a non conformist myself at times. Good to question authority from time to time. I like spirit
and passion from people and footballers in particular. Still think a dragon's breath would melt copper.
