I see that Ryan Mallon has signed for Belper to add to the other former Blues' players there. Can't say he had
a great spell at Frickley, seemed to lose a bit of pace and confidence. Was decent for Sheffield United reserves
and for Halifax and did a better job for Worksop. Turned back when he could have gone forward too often for my
liking.
I wish him well at his new club, unless they play his old one.

I was expecting more from Ryan, i thought his signing was a real good one. Like Blade i remember him in his Sheff Utd days and saw his one and only appearance for the first team from the bench, he proved to be a real hit at Halifax playing up front with Lewis Kileen, but then drifted into non league. You could never tag him with not being hard worker, he always put in a shift. But he was so predictable coming inside on his right foot and not getting to the by line and trusting his left. Maybe that's due to not having the speed anymore that he had. Also to be fair to him, we were so lop sided with only him being the only winger we had, we tried to rely too heavily on him. I wonder if we are going to play with wingers this year ?..Seems to be a dying art, I didn't see many good natural wingers last season. Carlos Rocca at Fc United the best iv'e seen in this league.

Was a good winger at North Ferriby the last time I went there, don't know if he's still there.
