Six out of ten, copper dragon - still not using full stops but you are starting with a capital letter
and there no need for a comma (breath) in the sentence you used and it made sense. Wish I was
on a Headmaster's salary. Hard not to check for bad grammar ect when you have been an editor
as many times as I have over the years
I will give you a trick a famous writer told me early in my writing career, one space after a comma, two
after a full stop. Let the sentence breath.

no i am not F1,or the new F1 either, and i will give them time to bed in,til about the end of september by my reckoning, there is not much prem experience,but.....if the players are hungry to succeed at this level and the manager can get them winning, that will show his ability as a manager, and i do hope that he can find the right formula.

Did anyone get any pictures of the training so we can see some of the new players? Also were there any players there that looked terrible and shouldn't have been on the pitch?

No, sorry mate it wasn't worth it, they are a ugly bunch :D .......fitness work at the ground, then they went to a local pitch for some ball work which i didn't see.

Ollie Ryan was on the score sheet today for Scarborough in a pre-season friendly.......typical.

On the occasions Ollie Ryan played, he struck me as having some skill as a footballer. I was not sure whether the system? played didn't suit him or if he didn't suit the system? assuming we had a system. He had scored many goals with previous clubs.

Might be a case of having better supply and playing with better players at his previous clubs. Didn't do
it for Frickley but could find it easier at a lower level with Scarborough. Some goalscorers just cannot seem
to score for some clubs and score almost every game at others.

nice to see that we have a decent goalie signed up in ben scott, nice to see chris wood given his chance at this level, had a good game against us about 3/4 years ago when hallam beat us in the sheffield cup, with jonah and stavros marking him, looked good for parkgate the last couple of seasons.

I like Scotty - he's got the proper mix for a keeper: big mouth, bit nuts, good shot stopper. Always got a word for the opposition fans. I remember the old Barrow keeper (help me out here Azi), looked like a homeless person, could give & take the banter & usually kept a clean sheet against us - me & Dave spent all match asking him about his caravan & laying tarmac & selling heather, he took it all, gave us some back & then bought us a pint afterwards. Quality.

I like Ben Scott and believe Ben Hallam will push him hard for his place between the sticks. Always liked Chris
Wood, he just loves scoring goals, a bit of quality about him. Getting a good mix of players together, probably
could do with a speedy winger and an old pro at the back.
Mr Rose seems to belong to the Warnock' school, where you simply cannot have enough strikers. Better than not
having enough imo.

Scotty has got to be our biggest signing yet...literally. ..Great signing in my eyes, Ex Sheff Utd, Got a lot to say for himself, Great Banter and a Good goalie, what more could you want..He could be a real cult hero at the lane...I think we can keep him busy, put it that way.
I like how he's signed now, missing all the runs around the park :D

I reckon he's heard about the post-match chips & gravy - who could resist (most of last years squad apparently!). Anyway, to my untrained eyes, a decent little team is developing - can't wait for October when the relegation battle starts!

PS - where are all the nay-sayers these days. This forum is full of optimism, which I find disappointing frankly.
