Just two! Very poor, not much loyalty to the team from last season's squad. I believe fitness was an
issue last time around from what little I saw.

I suspect there are only 2 left from last years 'core' squad after the many departures during the summer.

Getting the boys ultra fit is a great idea - you can't 'make' someone skillful but you can make them fit

I'm with Big George Clooners on this one - been gloomy since May when we knew Rinky was going (and that most of the team would follow as a result). Now I'm starting to allow a little optimism into the room - Strats can get them fit, none of us know anything about Rosey & Dudgers, they might be world class, they might be worse than Phil Sharpe but at least let's give them a go.

Maybe 1 or 2 of the regular posters on here might give the new team up to 3 or 4 games before they start saying it's the worst Frickley team in history - who knows, miracles do happen!

Life's too short to walk round with your chin on your chest 24/7 - it's a new season, try & enjoy it

About eight more needed, possibly ten to be on the safe side. Still think the left back at Selby deserves a look
at, will be up against better opposition on Saturday against Pickering. Would add some height to the defence
on the left hand side.
Allott and South could be an interesting partnership but will need a good supply from wide position to make the
most of their ability in the air. Not the fastest pair but goals in both of them. A quick striker to partner either or
to come in when needed would be very good.
The Blues will be in trouble if the player/coach is used more often as a player imo, didn't look very good when I
watched him for Goole.
A few young 'un's released by Football League' clubs might be an idea, such as Adams and Gregory formerly with
Sheff Utd.

agree with blade that if we need to rely on strats at 36 we will be in trouble, had lost it as a player last season in the NCEL,agree that him and barwick have the experience but not played in prem for a bit now, hope to see more signings soon.would ne nice to grant darley re-sign too.

Obviously with 25 turning up last night, the squad is going to be whittled down to fit within the budget, I believe there's Scott Hellwell to come in yet, we won't be lacking in the height department from what i saw. The potential keeper who turned up looked a big lad, I can't see Stratford playing every game, i would be surprised. But we did lack experience at times at the back last year with a lot of youngsters, looks the opposite this year :D

Don't know about Darley to be honest.

Reflecting on last night, the players should have just ran around Dudgeon, that would have been a mile

p.s. I know, pot calling kettle and all that :D

Will have more idea of what the Blues have and don't have after a few pre-season games. A few
players might have to prove their worth to Mr Rose, which is how it should be. No one should be certain
of a place yet.
Blue Stan's grammar the better of the two and Frickley1 has no affection for Mexborough Town as far as
I am aware. Both entitled to their opinions even if everybody else disagrees with them.

Agreed Blade - it's an open forum & I'd rather have people moaning than not posting at all, but the record could do with changing just once in a while.
