Thanks for the information, Finchley Tiger, will write it down in my notebook. There a bus direct from Balby to Dinnington
via Maltby, but the train might be a better bet. I once had a very long and entertaining conversation with Dinnington's
manager when he was scouting at Hallam. A very likeable man, knows his football - likes tall players in his side in all areas
of the field.
Would if I could, SMS, train would be good. Been on two today, along with three buses and several trams.
Another one pub town I am told, Dinnington.

I don't care much for pre-season friendlies. I think the manager probably gets more out of it than us fans. Always nice to get a local league team if we can for a decent gate, but the rest tend to be played in front of gates of well below 100 in previous season's. I never read too much into them.

I enjoy the away ones more when they're at places I've not been to before or have seldom been there, a chance
to explore. No pressure, doesn't really matter if Frickley win, more about getting the players match fit and finding
tactics that work for them.
Think it would be a bad idea to just not play friendlies before the real thing or to play them behind closed doors. Know
what you mean, SMS. There no subsitute for the real thing, I like friendlies that aren't best, such as United against
Wednesday or Leeds United.

Like the look of the first three announced, but would have liked the Brid' game to be on a Saturday.
Don't know know what the Stourport fans will make of South Elmsall, their place very different, lots of
water. Probably more pubs too, but where isn't there? North Ferriby I suppose

Be struggling to get back by public transport maybe, though a friend from Donny says it is possible and
that he has been to evening games there. Albion usually a bit robust in friendlies against the Blues at
South Elmsall I've been to in recent years. Will have to check train times from Wakey. Another one I'd
have liked to be on a Saturday really. Might clash with Sheff Utd playing too - looking forward to the
Rotherham game, the new ground looking very good indeed, just needs tidying up around it from what I could
see from the train window. Very near the railway station - which is always a bonus.
Could do with another two or three games with at least one of them being at home.

Never been there other than passing through on the train to Selby, sounds like I haven't missed anything.
Must admit it looks uninteresting from a train window.

Surely Frickley can arrange a friendly against a Football League side if Hallam can offer a pre-season game
against Manchester City? Can't see many of City's superstars playing on the sloping pitch at Sandygate
somehow though.

I've got a Kate Bush CD somewhere, quiet good, a very decent songwriter. Think there's more chance of
her turning up than Balotelli. A Man City supporters' eleven would stand a fair chance against the Countrymen,
unless they have improved drastically from last season. Seeing the hills around the ground might inspire her
to write another Wuthering Heights. Best she doesn't bother really, it's been done.

I see that Dinnington have two good home friendlies against Rotherham and Wednesday, better than
what the Blues can offer so far.
Don't think the Blues will be playing at Tadcaster or Ramsbottom as their pitches are flooded.
