Any suggestions who we would like to see as new manager, due to Rinky's impending departure......Well it is advertised on the club website...shortlist:

Harry Redknapp 10,000/1
Jose Mourinho 100,000/1
Alan Curbishley 250/1
Pepe Guardiola 25/1
Me and Mini 2/5
Baines Brothers 13/2

That's it, the bookies are never wrong, it's between me & mini versus the Baines Brothers......Tug of War contest in the middle of the pitch to decide the winner........what a refreshing interview

p.s. better watch those carrot bulbs on the pitch

As the better looking of the Bainesys currently earns a right wedge as a 'Big' Sam Allardyce lookalike I wouldn't bet against them.

Me & George have been likened to Clough & Taylor - unfortunately it's Liz Taylor & Ken Clough (who used to be the window cleaner on Charleville).

So long as any applications in Phil Sharpes best crayon go straight in the bin.

Still gutted, I am a Rinky fan at the end of the day.

Problem is mate, there's only you, me and Bluebeard who were Rinky fans.....we should start a revolution, protest on the tips !!!

all 3 of us doing the 'poznan'

Can't think of anyone in the NPL Circles the last few years who's local to Frickley and are out of management, maybe only John Read who was at Buxton.
Sharpy's a no,no........what about marrowpatch out of retirement for the third time !!!

John Read was who I thought of immediately when I saw the news about Rinky. Mark Shaw is also available. Might be more of a long shot as I don't know if he wants to go back into management but Ronnie Glavin?

I think whoever gets the job will struggle if the budget is only just over a grand a week as rumoured. Rinky has done well to give you a chance of a reprieve since the forty per cent wage cut.
In reality you have done better than Worksop who have seriously underachieved with double your budget even after our own twenty five per cent wage cut.
This league is becoming increasingly tough without a big budget which Darlington if they join us will no doubt find out.
Enjoy the game on Tuesday.

I for one, am disappointed Rinky has not got a new contract, he was never going to have an easy ride amidst budget cuts and some injury woes along the way.
However, indiscipline has agon been a large part of Frickleys season. This must stop.
Referees have been unkind to us, easy to say, but, the old saying, perception is 9/10 of reality, is kind of close to the bone.

bornagaintiger, regarding the rumour of wage cut percentage, whether true or not, it is results which are fact and they are are follows.
Before wage cut P28 W7 D6 L15 F32 A47 Pts 27 position 18
After wage cut P14 W3 D6 L5 F16 A23 Pts 15 position 19
very little over difference in the two sets of results. A point a game is not going to get you far, neither is just over a goal a game scored and just under 2 conceded.
It could be an interesting game on Tuesday.

What about looking at managers doing well lower down. Ex player Chris Hilton done well at worsbrough. Wayne benn at hemsworth. Craig elliott at glasshoughton. Simon Houghton was doing well at pontefract to name a few. If the budgets not great then give one if these a go (if they want it)!!!

Chris Hilton could be in with a shout. Wayne Benn flits about too much, but could offer something.

like the shout for hilts, think that would be popular with the fans too.a dark horse would be doug shelley, who? you might say,he has had 2 years in charge at parkgate,in the NCEL,had 1 player when he took over ,but guided parkgate to within a whisker of the title, beaten to it by farsley last season, this season finished 6th/7th,was in running for promotion to evo stik upto about last 5 games, the club has had thier best ever season in the f.a.cup succumbing only to whitby after a hard fought encounter, and the crowds have MORE than doubled due to the brand of attacking football they play and amount of goals they score,he is young, but dont know about the ambition to manage at a higher level, food for thought though.

I Suppose it depend's who applies, I always prefer someone with NPL xp to be honest, but i hear what you are saying....young managers need opportunities to prove themselves.

I Think me and Mini should conduct the interviews with our wealth of xp, it would be different put it that way
