IMO i thought we deserved a point tonight, Yes we huffed and puffed for long periods, but on chances created it was quite even. I give credit to Buxton who's movement of their front men was excellent in the 1st half, they had 2 handy lads up front who are proven goalscrorers, but again we never gave up. Excellent strike from the new CB Gray, who had a good game at the back, but also IMO Ollie Ryan deserves a lot of credit for his all round performance, his quality really showed tonight of holding the ball and bringing other people into play. By far his best performance i have seen in a Blues shirt. Was hoping for 3 points tonight, but not to be, Hopefully 3 points will be beckoning Saturday. :?:

agree with what you have said there. buxton didnt give up on the game at all tonight, and troubled us several times from the aerial barrage that they put in our penalty box. again i thought we were getting sucked in to playing a central game and buxton used the width to make things very difficult.

a point being fair is what both teams deserved, but if lady luck shone a bit more on us maybe we could have snatched all 3. a few points about the ref though. although i like to see the game played without one being too finicky, sometimes he opted for the easy option and failed to penalise a lot of holding and pulling on both sides. also, when their defender was beaten and whilst on the ground decided to grab hold of the ball and stop our player getting thru on goal with a clear chance only getting a yellow, slightly bemusing in my book.

a bit more huff n puff required to start putting some of these games to bed. forwards did well but we need width to stretch the defences more.

agree about ollie ryan, thought his movement off the ball was excellent, the two up front looked good together, thought ryan mallon was worthy of mention too, mark gray did a fine job, organising too,he looked commited for a loan player,2 points lost i reckon but buxton are a better side than their league position shows.

Yes I thought Buxton were a decent side and like us, will be at least mid table at the end of the season. We deserved a point and thought we played some good football. My player of the season so far - Ludlum looked out of position at left back but still put in a good shift. Would like to have seen more use of the wings as I think we struggle with the ball down the middle to big defenders. Great strike by the big defender - wonder whats he like up front. Like others, liked what I saw with Ryan. Happy with a point, if we continue to play like that we'll turn a few teams over.
