Just thought I'd write this poem
and post it on this here forum.
Well, it is National Poetry Day
and I want to mark it some way.
Better say something 'bout the Blues,
I'd rather they win than draw or lose.
About time they started hitting back 'o net,
haven't done much of that yet.
A win at the seaside would be very nice.
A win anywhere would be very nice.
Sorry if you don't like poetry and all that guff
and think some of these here rymms are duff.
Enough!

On very strong painkillers my only excuse, I did appolgise in the
feeble attempt at poetry.
One of my favourite ever poems was by fellow Frickley fan A Lee
Firth about travelling on his moped to watch The Blues at Goole
Town, I think it was published in a small press magazine called
Bare Wires that originated somewhere in The Dearne Valley.
Haven't seen A Lee or his moped at games recently or many of
his poem either.
Don't worry, I don't intend posting any more poems this year.
Good luck to the Blues today at Fleetwood.
