I was very impressed by Goole AFC performance last night
against a young York City side, played some good football
on the best Pleasure Grounds pitch I've ever seen ( some
money and time obviously spent on it) and some great goals.

Looks like Frickley will have to be up for the friendly there
if they want a result. Have to be aware of long throws into
the box, City couldn't deal with them. Some good headers of
the ball in the side. The main weakness probably our former
centre-half or forward Marsh's rashness, one of his tackles
had to be seen to be believed, missed by quite a way thankfully
for the City player.
Will have to be aware of the Bray- Payton strike partnership too,
the former on holiday last night. His replacement Rose working hard
and looking good too.
Beer in the bar 15p dearer than at Frickley though.

Be interested to see Groome against Brad Hill, two very
good non-league players.

I was told by a Goole fan that they didn't pay a tax bill
from eleven years ago! Can't see the Tax Office taking
so long to catch up with them though, a lot of rumours
in the town, some Chinese whispers probably.
