A lacklustre Worksop team lost to Sheffield Club in the
Sheffield Senior Cup Final at Hillsborough two-nil. Club
well deserving of the victory and emergency centre-half
Rob Ward brilliant on the night and hardly giving Town's
giant striker a sniff of goal. I've only ever seen Ward
play upfront before for Club and on loan at Hallam.

It was interesting to hear Worksop fans talking about
possibly having to ground share with Dinnington and
even having to drop down to the Northern Counties
League - things must be bleak for The Tigers, though
possibly not as bleak as their supporters were stating
hopefully. I hope we do battle with them next season
at Sandy Lane.

It would not be the first time they would have had to share. In the 1990's they played at Gainsborough Trinity for a while. With the possible demise of Halifax Town, Altrincham would be reprieved from relegation for the third time in three seasons, and Hucknall may not be relegated to Unibond.

Apparently Worksop are to ground share with Hucknall Town next season.

Interesting choice, not sure that it will be popular with Tigers'
supporters - a bit far to travel for a home game. Not as bad
as Bridlington Town playing at Belle Vue, but bad enough.

The Tigers have had to cancel friendlies against Sheff Utd,
Sheff Wed and Donny Rovers that would have earnt them a few
quid. Sheff Utd Reserves also not playing at Sandy Lane next
time around, moving to Sheffield Club's Coach and Horses ground.
