As expected Frickley in the NPL D1 East section,

like last season when the blues were moved to the weeker South division away from the big hitters of Scarboro, South Shields and Hyde, it looks like a favorable division once again

https://www.thenonleaguefootballpaper.c ... ps-1-to-4/

6 promoted sides, no relegated sides, i would make Frickley easy favourites for the division if a similar budget is kept (which has been confirmed at 5k per week by Mr sitter on the other thread :D :D )

not sure how the playoffs will work seen as its 7 divisional winners going up + playoffs into 4 leagues above, either going to be some type of cross divisional play offs or if they relegate 4 teams from each step 3 league (which 4 out of 20 seems a lot) then maybe they wil promote the 7 champions, 7 play off winners and 2 PPG play off losers like this year.

either way with the budget the aim has to be to win the league if not it will be failure once again

I would imagine Ossett's dreams of minor global domination include quickly getting out of the NPL.

+ if Marske can strike up deals with Travelodge and BP, that should leave them with a decent sized player budget.

I read earlier in the season that the four step 3 leagues will relegate three teams each. Promotion from step 4 will be the champions of the seven step 4 leagues with five of the seven play-off winners also being promoted.

However, in the article I read it not state if the five from seven play-off winners would be decided by ppg or whether there was going to be some cross league play-offs between the play-off winners.

Just in case you are at the wrong end of the table, the bottom two in the seven step 4 leagues are to be relegated and replaced by the champions of the 14 step 5 leagues.
