We are paying a fee 4K for Gav to shaw lane should be confirmed tonight

Money bags frickley all of a sudden

On paper these look good deals but when you know the ins and outs believe me we are making silly way over the odds money offers and the strategy from a week ago now has drastically changed which is strange and obviously a bit concerning

Other thing worth pointing out is it will cost the club far more to put 'this team' Together I. E JC, Ible, big Gav, hazel, under fearn and mcknight than it was going to do under karl original which looked at in a business sense is crazy

Interesting.

Given the cash those players and that calibre attract generally... must be close on £1k for those 4 in weekly wages.

Add in Sebba and then you're easily taking up 75-80% of the budget. I suppose you can supplement these with 'lesser' players on £50 or so... but the gap in quality will be stark. Would that work? Not sure.

Either way; it's progress for sure if/when these are announced. Assuming the Sky Sports Dingbat channel is accurate of course. Haha

Definitely a change in strategy / approach tho....

Let's see what happens in next week or three.

I think my close to £1k may have been a tad conservative. Be-Jesus!

I suspect that not all these players will be universally approved of by the Board given their previous views/ comments etc.

Interesting times indeed.

Mr Gooda the latest to announce his move away from the Blues...

Sky sports Dingbat is accurate as always and a lot quicker than the official channels

I will reveal the fee is 4 grand which I think I revealed earlier and big Gav choose frickley over Gainsborough not a host of clubs, due to the location and the deal offered

Like I said before on paper a top signing no doubt at all one of my favourite non league players and he is gaurenteed to score goals next season 100% but the concern is 1. You wouldn't believe what he is been paid 2.why the sudden change? Have the board seen the light and ditched the plan to bring in 6 maltby lads? 3. Let's hope the the purse strings are not been loosened too much and we get in trouble?

And like I said before this type of player demand a premium to play for spencer fearn that they would not have from Karl so basically the club is following the recruitment strategy of the old management but just paying a higher cost to get it

I agree F1.
And yes, Sky Sports Dingbat was/is right.
Undisclosed fees... should be outlawed at every level for the game. Mind you, Dingers has covered that. And yes, the salary package is indeed eye watering......
I dont think he'll need to worry about settling his bar tab, well, that's if they're allowed next season......
Let's hope
He stays injury free. For lots of reasons.
Who's next?

I wonder how many other clubs supporters would be downbeat at the signing of a player of Gavs calibre - well done

what i cannot understand is these players saying they have left after failing to agree terms at this stage, someone please explain.
as i recall players used to turn up for pre-season training at 2/3 different clubs to hedge their bets at what was on offer at those clubs, if they can get more money at other clubs further down the pyramid, good luck to them, but one question to ask is, will some of these players return in pre-season, when they find out they cannot get as much as offered by the blues originally.

No one is downbeat, it just contradicts the rhetoric that was given at the Q&A

and obviously people are worried that we have started throwing cash about all of a sudden

Maybe you should ask for a pay rise mini lad?

Who is downbeat Mini? I think the recent posters - me included - have all said good signing, great to see back etc.

Not Gavs fault that there is a fee etc, nor that there are new people in charge etc. There appears to have been a change in approach from last season (great if gets better players) and also what (I hear) was said at the Fans Forum in terms of budget and players targeted. Given that several of those that have recently left were offered less cash than last season too?

Surely it's too early to start on the C U next Tuesday comments already... ha ha

gavs signing shows a statement of intent by the club, we have a very proven goalscorer whos goals could or will fire us up the table, but i think a lot of people are worried by the possible long term financial implications this move might have on the club.
we was told at the meeting there will be no splashing around of cash, so where has this fee come from.
they also told us that if they were to leave that the cash injection would continue( so how true is that too)
also opposite of what the fans were told by the board only last week(so much for honesty there)
it also leaves a big question mark over trust.
